Stripdown complete

The block is now stripped. Here it is. First upside down:

Shows how small it actually is. I'll have to get it off the stand and weigh it just to find out. Have to say that it was very easy to strip. The last of this took about 25 mins to clear the block of the reciprocating assembly and other odds and sods.

I now need to make a list of what I need doing to the block, and if I need to buy any parts before I do that for clearancing purposes or whatever. For example, can I get it honed without yet buying the pistons? I dunno.

Essentially I need:

1) Block washed and checked. If it's got any cracks, it's over.
2) Cylinders honed to take +40 pistons. If any of the bores are too far gone, fit liners.
3) Line bore the crankshaft bearing seats to ensure they're true in the block.
4) Fit new camshaft bearings
5) Ensure the block faces are the same distance from the camshaft tunnel on both sides all the way along.
6) Ensure the block faces are straight/flat
7) Fit screw in oil gallery plugs with hex heads
8) Fit new core plugs
9) Hot wash block once more.
