Slow progress as I only get to work on the car when my little daughter is asleep. And the Rugby was on. Anyway, I got the two rear sets of wishbones off, first the drivers side:
and then the passenger side:
Drivers side driveshaft gaiter is knackered. Wish I'd spotted that before taking the whole thing to bits, as you really want the car on it's wheels on the ground to undo the whacking great driveshaft nut. Error. We'll see how we go.
The wishbones are currently in a bath of degreaser:
I'll give them a turn now and again to make sure that the whole thing gets a fair go in the solution for each one.
One of them (the top one from the front drivers side, which is pictured in the last post), is out of the dunk tank and doesn't look bad at all! Looks like this must have been replaced at some point - none of the others have decent powdercoating like this:
You can see in the background that I'm a big fan of Bilt Hamber products. Surfex HD is the degreaser I'm using.
I found out one other thing when I was messing about with the stuff in the garage. All the bolts I need are included in the Steve Heath bush kit I've bought. So that saves some time and cash. Nice.
From next weekend, I have a week off. The aim is to complete the refurbishing of the suspension in that time and have the car back on the road.
